a) Account information
When you create an OMR Checker account we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- Coaching / institute name
- Director / owner name
- Email address
- Mobile number
- Login password (stored only in hashed form)
b) Content you create in the Service
As you use OMR Checker you may add or upload:
- Student records (name, roll number, class, and similar academic details you choose to enter).
- Exam configurations, answer keys, and OMR templates.
- Scanned or captured OMR answer sheets used for evaluation.
- Result records, attendance records, and fee/payment records you maintain.
This content belongs to you and your institute. We process it only to provide the Service.
c) Authentication, session and cookie information
We use secure HTTP-only cookies and short-lived access tokens to keep you signed in. We also record basic session metadata (device / browser type, approximate IP address, last-used timestamp) so you can view and manage active sessions from your profile.
d) Payment and subscription information
When you subscribe to a paid plan we record subscription-related metadata such as the plan you selected, activation and expiry dates, and payment reference identifiers relayed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
e) Automatically-collected technical information
Standard technical information such as request timestamps, error logs, and diagnostic data may be recorded to help us keep the Service running and to investigate issues.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the OMR Checker service.
- To authenticate you and secure your account and sessions.
- To process OMR sheets and generate results, reports and analytics.
- To manage subscriptions, invoicing and renewal notifications.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited cases:

5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account and content data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- Session records are retained per our session-management policy; revoked sessions are retained briefly for audit purposes and then automatically removed.
- Activity history is retained on a rolling window and older entries are automatically removed.
- If you request account closure, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law.
6. Cookies
We use only functional cookies necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Access and update your account details from within the Service.
- Request a copy of your data, or request deletion, by contacting us at the address below.
- Revoke active sessions on your devices from your profile page.
8. Children's Privacy
OMR Checker is intended to be used by teachers, coaching institutes, and administrative users. Student records inside the Service are entered by the institute / teacher account holder, who is responsible for those records.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
